Cotton bobbinet tulle, French leavers lace, silk duchesse satin.

Vela is a corsetted bodysuit, cut with a dramatic cupped rib and flared hip silhouette. Flexible but strong English cotton bobbinet comprises the body of this corset, with centre back panels of cotton coutil and silk duchesse. Cotton twill channels encase a mix of flat and spiral steel bones throughout this corset, with additional plastic bone support at the hip line. A cotton twill waist tape offers additional support and strength. Centre front bones have been subtly flossed with black embroidery thread and overlaid with guipure lace accents for extra security. The crotch can be unfastened with microfibre hook and eye tape and the back laces with satin ribbon through gold toned eyelets. Intricately cut and placed vintage French leavers lace is invisibly hand stitched across the body of this corset, offering a beautifully subtle yet elegant effect, comprising of nearly 50 hours of painstaking work.
